The Somerset Sausage Company

We are a small butchery company based at Orchard Farm, Cheddar Road. We rear traditional Gloucester Old Spot pigs and supply bacon, sausages and pork to the general public, as well as the catering trade.

You can collect your orders in person from Orchard Farm on Cheddar Road by arrangement, or during these troubling times we are offering a home delivery service. This service will only be available to those living within a 5 mile radius of the farm (BS28 4HS). For those living further away orders can be delivered by Parcelforce.

Wyvern Coffee Co

The home of quality coffee beans and loose leaf teas in the heart of Cheddar Gorge. After lockdown, Come and visit our shop (opposite Jacob’s ladder) to see our complete range which includes a wide variety of brewing devices. In the meantime, you can view our range of available products on our website at wyverncoffee.com Started in 2020, we have worked with local coffee roasters and tea importers to provide the best quality products.

Butchers, fishmongers and deli. Local meat, fresh fish, home made pies and pastries, local cheeses, dairy range, milk, bread & cakes, seasonal veg & fruit. Local preserves and chutneys plus lots of other goodies.

Book a hog roast for your special event, includes hog, baps, apple sauce, coleslaw, crackling. Plates & serviettes and our staff serving your guests. We also can provide catering for any occasion.

We also create cheese and pork pie celebration towers through Creations@cobbsofcheddar. Which are delivered and set up on the day for you.

We are open Monday to Saturday 7am – 6pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm. Closed on Bank Holidays. Closed Easter day, Christmas day.

Petruth Paddocks Campsite

Petruth Paddocks is where you go when you simply want to relax with family and friends in beautiful Somerset countryside. Whilst just a short walk from Cheddar Gorge, you really could be in the middle of nowhere – one of our customers described Petruth as “ a cocoon they occasionally step out of to collect more wine…..”

You can bring your own accommodation or check out one of our Bell tents or Shepherd’s huts.

With 35 acres and 5 fields you’ll be sure to be pitched alongside others wanting the same kind of break as you as we’re careful to ensure that you feel chilled and relaxed from arrival through to departure – nothings ever too much trouble as we know that whilst you may not remember what we say or do you’ll remember how we made you feel.

The Home Room, Cheddar

The Home Room is still very much alive and kicking! We can supply Little Greene Paint, Wallpaper, Fabrics and Interior Furnishings direct to your door.

Please contact us if you require samples, would like to peruse our fabric collections or would like a quote as we can organise this for you.

Our Little Greene paint is ordered direct to your door (free of charge) and currently has a lead time of 5-7 working days.

All our design houses are still working so we are able to assess fabrics and wallpapers to be delivered direct.
